Wilhelm Grimm was born in 1786 and studied law at the University of Marburg with his brother Jacob. Wilhelm married Henriette Dorothea Wild, also known as Dortchen, in 1825, and died in Berlin on December 16, 1859, at the age of 73, of an infection.
