Plot summary
Jake Chambers and Father Callahan continue their battle against the evil infestation within the Dixie Pig, and the ka-tet has been reunited. Mordred’s first act is to shapeshift into a spider-creature and feast on his birth-mother.
Roland and his ka-tet travel to Thunderclap, then to the nearby Devar-Toi, where they are pursued by an otherworldly monster through Castle Discordia. As they get closer to the Dark Tower, Susannah realizes Roland needs to complete his journey without her. In The Gunslinger, Roland gains entry into the Dark Tower while Patrick returns home.
