How Much Does it Cost to Sell on AbeBooks and How Does AbeBooks Pay Me?
Our fees are offset against your weekly sales every Friday for sellers who use AbeBooks. A monthly subscription fee based on the average number of items listed for sale. A commission fee on all sales. An external payment service fee for credit card transactions processed.
AbeBooks Monthly Subscription Fees (effective April 28, 2008)
Subscription fees are billed in advance, applied to your AbeBooks account on the 1st of each month, and deducted from your sales. Subscriptions are based on your average listing count for the previous month, with days in Vacation status included in the monthly average calculation and a 0 item count.
Regional Tax Information
Sellers in Australia will be charged 10% GST unless they provide AbeBooks with a valid GST number via their Members Menu. In France, sellers shipping orders to French buyers should be aware of the information provided by French authorities.
AbeBooks Commission Fees
All sales are subject to an 8% commission fee, which includes shipping and any additional charges. Commission fees are refunded to the seller if the buyer receives a full refund of the item price or item price shipping, but not if the buyer receives a partial refund.
AbeBooks External Payment Service Fees
For purchases made on AbeBooks.com, the minimum external payment service fee is US$0.50; orders exceeding US $500 in total value are charged 5.5% for the first $500; external payment service fees do not apply when the buyer selects an alternative payment method.
Overdue Balance:
If you are more than three months late on your payments, AbeBooks reserves the right to close or cancel your account.
