Valentine George Warleggan (1794-1820) was Elizabeth and Ross Poldark’s younger son.

Valentine was born in Trenwith in 1794, a few weeks after his mother had slept with her former fiancu00e9, Ross Poldark, and pretended to have “suddenly fallen down the stairs” and gone into labour to hide the truth.

Valentine resembled Ross in many ways, and even Ross admitted that Valentine was most likely his child; however, Ross was estranged from the Warleggans and had no dealings with them.
