How do you write a book talk?
Hook your audience! Read a quote from the book, ask a question of your audience, introduce the main character, vividly set the scene, or do a combination of a few of these techniques. Make sure to also give the title and author of the book. In a paragraph or two, summarize the plot of the book.

Book Talks are a modified type of book report that students complete for their classmates. Typically, students choose a book to read in a particular genre, read the book, complete this book talk outline, and then complete a visual project. One outline is for novels, the other for picture books.
